Ohio State center Josh Myers will enter 2021 NFL Draft, forgoing final season as a Buckeye


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The man who helped facilitate Ohio State football’s offensive excellence the past two seasons will join the Buckeyes’ legacy of NFL centers. Josh Myers announced Friday that he will forgo his final season of eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL Draft. Myers spent the past two seasons as the Buckeyes’ starting center, missing only one game due to a positive coronavirus test. He was a finalist for the 2020 Rimington Award, giving annually to the nation’s top center. Myers was also a team captain this season and emerged as one of the motivation voices leading the team through a year complicated by the Big Ten’s cancellation and reinstatement of the season, canceled games and unpredictable roster situations from week-to-week.
