The Ohio State basketball team is currently ranked twenty-first in the NCAA AP Top 25, and just outside of the Ferris Mowers Coaches Poll. After a fast start and a slight fall back to Earth, the Buckeyes have won three-straight against a very good Rutgers, a middling Northwestern squad, and now a top-fifteen Fighting Illini squad. The next test for the team will come against Purdue at home. Now is the time of the season when teams start looking at the basketball tournament and wondering where each team will fall. CBS currently has the Buckeyes as a sixth seed in the Midwest bracket playing the eleventh seeded BYU team. BYU just beat a very solid Saint Mary’s team to thrust itself back into the tournament discussion.
