COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football realistically knew it had only two seasons in which to utilize quarterback Justin Fields’ special talents. The Buckeyes experienced nearly everything they could have hoped for with the generational quarterback. Two playoff berths and a national championship appearance will put Fields in the conversation of the greatest OSU quarterbacks of all time. Fields on Monday announced he will forgo his final season of eligibility to enter the 2021 NFL Draft. He is projected by most analysts to be among the top picks taken at the event, which is scheduled to be held in Cleveland. Fields could be the second OSU quarterback taken in the first round in the last three years, joining Dwayne Haskins in 2019.
