Ohio State LB Tuf Borland reacts to Urban Meyer’s NFL jump


MOBILE, Ala. — Tuf Borland was recruited to Ohio State under Urban Meyer, and now the two could wind up in the same league. Speaking Tuesday at Hancock Whitney Stadium after the first day of Senior Bowl practices, the NFL hopeful linebacker was asked about Meyer’s jump to the professional ranks. “Coach Meyer (is) an unbelievable coach; he’s been around a long time,” said Borland, who was a member of the Buckeyes’ 2017 recruiting class. “I think he’s studied the game in his time away, and I think he’s going to do an awesome job.” Meyer was formally named head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars on Jan. 14, his first NFL gig after “retiring” from football as head coach at Ohio State following the 2018 season.
