Ohio State Buckeyes: Day envisions returnees helping team, themselves

More than a handful of Ohio State football players who could be preparing for the NFL Draft this winter instead are back in class looking at another year of the college grind on and off the field. Ryan Day hopes their return means the Buckeyes are better this fall, but their head coach also expects the decision to make the players better in the long run. Surprise returnees should bolster offense with freshman quarterback “I think that’s what a lot of them understood was that it’s one thing to go, be able to play in the NFL. It’s another thing to be ready when you get there, and I think that these guys understand that,” Day said.
