Ohio State basketball’s Jimmy Sotos to have season-ending shoulder surgery


COLUMBUS, OHIO — Ohio State basketball will be without the services of Jimmy Sotos for the rest of the year following season-ending surgery on a separated shoulder. The senior guard hasn’t played since the Buckeyes’ 79-68 win at Rutgers where he scored six points and dished out four assists. He averaged 1.7 points in 12 games off the bench this season. Sotos came to the Buckeyes as a transfer from Bucknell provided depth in the backcourt behind C.J. Walker and Duane Washington Jr. He was joined by Abel Porter — from Utah State — and now will be without both. Porter never saw the floor this season after a non-COVID medical condition brought an end to his college career.
