The Buckeyes had offered a scholarship to only two 2023 prospects from the state of Ohio, Mentor defensive end Brenan Vernon and Pickerington Central athlete Sonny Styles. However, that changed this afternoon when they extended an offer to 2023 lineman Luke Montgomery from Findlay, Ohio. Montgomery posted the offer on his Twitter account. “After a great call I am so excited and blessed to receive an offer to play football at THE Ohio State University,” Montgomery posted on Twitter. The 6-foot-5 and 260-pound Montgomery played mostly defensive line this season, mostly inside at tackle. He also played some tight end, mostly for blocking.
