COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five-star defensive back Will Johnson of Gross Pointe South High School in Michigan has set a commitment date. The nation’s No. 8 player and No. 4 cornerback will announce his decision on Feb. 28 as Ohio State football joins Michigan and USC as his final options. For the Buckeyes, Johnson would be the second five-star corner — third overall — in the class and fourth player ranked inside the top 15. He’s the top remaning target at the position, especially after Domani Jackson chose to stay home and commit to USC. Picking OSU would mean choosing to study under Kerry Coombs — a proven developer of defensive back talent — while also being the first commit since Matt Barnes officially took over as the secondary coach.
