Ranking Ohio State football’s top 2022 targets after updated composite rankings: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class continues its No. 1 position following the latest update in the 247Sports composite rankings. The new rankings give the Buckeyes a 35.93-point lead over second-place LSU. No. 3 Georgia and No. 5 Oklahoma are the only other programs with multiple five-star commits. There wasn’t a ton of movement for OSU’s 10 commits, with QB Quinn Ewers remaining the country’s top prospect. Jaheim Singletary moved up one spot to No. 9 overall and No. 4 among cornerbacks, while Caleb Burton dropped to No. 23 overall and No. 4. among wide receivers. Burton missed most of his junior season dealing with a knee injury, so variance in his ranking isn’t a surprise. He won’t be back to 100 percent until later this spring.
