Michigan State upsets No. 5 Ohio State to hand Buckeyes 6th loss


Feb. 26 (UPI) — Unranked Michigan State improved its odds of making the cut for March Madness with a 71-67 upset Thursday night over Ohio State, the No. 5 team in the coaches poll. Junior forward Aaron Henry led the Spartans with 18 points in the victory at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich. Advertisement “I did not think we played great, yet we found a way to win,” Michigan State coach Tom Izzo told reporters. “It was an absolute war in there.” Ohio State led 38-33 at halftime and used a 9-0 run in the second half to take a 49-40 lead with 13:28 remaining.
