Ohio State basketball drops to No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Despite being in the middle of its first losing streak of the season, the Ohio State basketball team didn’t see too much of a drop in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll. The Buckeyes fell from the No. 4 spot they’ve held for three weeks down to No. 7. Some of that is because of the context behind its losses — two of which came against Michigan, No. 2 in the new poll, and Iowa, No. 5. Some is also due to a week where many of the nation’s top teams had less than stellar records. That starts near the top with Baylor, which fell from the undefeated ranks with a 71-58 loss to Kansas on Saturday. That leaves Gonzaga as the only team without a loss.
