COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football program has had plenty of success in Texas over the past five years, but seldom has that been in recruiting defensive linemen. There have been 18 Texans to come to Columbus, and the defensive line is the only position group to not get one. Linebackers Mike Mitchell (2013) and Baron Browning (2017) are the only front-seven players from Texas, but that could change in 2022 by landing Omari Abor. WHO: 4-star defensive lineman who plays for Duncanville (Texas) High School. SIZE: 6-foot-4, 240 pounds RANKING: The No. 2 strongside defensive end in the class of 2022, the No. 37 player. THE BATTLE: Abor earned an OSU offer in November, and has 24 offers that await their first cutdown.
