Ohio State basketball advances to Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal with 79-75 win over Minnesota


INDIANAPOLIS — Ohio State basketball advanced to the Big Ten Tournament’s quarterfinal round Thursday following a 79-75 second-round win over Minnesota that ended closer than it should have been. The Buckeyes dominated at the start in building a 13-0 lead, while the Golden Gophers didn’t score their first points until seven minutes had passed. Though Minnesota would eventually work its way back with the help of missed OSU free throws and turnovers, the first-half lead never shrunk below four.
