COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State basketball team had a 12-point lead with 98 seconds left to play, and yet somehow they needed to make free throws in the final seconds Thursday to escape with a 79-75 win over Minnesota in the Big Ten Tournament. But that’s been the storyline behind this team for the bulk of the season. The Buckeyes are going to put together a solid game, but allow an opponent the hope of a comeback. Earlier in the season, it didn’t matter because they were still churning out wins.
