INDIANAPOLIS — Ohio State basketball could be without the primary reason why it’s still alive when it faces Michigan in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal. At the 17:04 mark of the second half, Kyle Young caught a Trevion Williams elbow in the back of the head that essentially knocked him out of the game. NCAA protocol states that any student-athlete showing signs, symptoms, or behaviors consistent with a concussion must immediately: Be removed from practice or competition for evaluation; Be evaluated by an athletic trainer or team physician (or physician designee) with concussion experience; Be removed from practice/play for that calendar day if a concussion is confirmed or suspected; and May only return to play the same day if the athletic trainer, team physician or physician designee determines that concussion is no longer suspected.
