Ohio State basketball advances to Big Ten Championship following 68-67 win over Michigan


INDIANAPOLIS — Ohio State basketball is headed to the Big Ten Championship Game after knocking off Michigan 68-67 in a semifinal that at times was far from an explosive game to watch offensively. This game didn’t have the same high-level offense we were treated with during a 92-87 regular-season game. The second act inside Lucas Oil Stadium showcased two teams who came into the afternoon beat up and unable to find their way in the first 20 minutes. The Buckeyes were without starting center Kyle Young after he suffered his second concussion in three weeks by taking an elbow to the head by way of Purdue’s Trevion Williams. The Wolverines were missing their second-leading scorer in Isaiah Livers following a stress injury to his right foot in a win over Maryland.
