Ohio State tapped as No. 2 seed for NCAA basketball tournament

UPDATES 10:43 p.m.: The NCAA just announced Ohio State will play Oral Roberts at 3 p.m. ET at Mackey Arena on CBS. INDIANAPOLIS — Ohio State will go to its third straight NCAA Tournament under coach Chris Holtmann as the Buckeyes were selected as a No. 2 seed in the South Regional when the brackets were revealed Sunday night. OSU (21-9) will open tournament play against No. 15 seed Oral Roberts (16-10), the champion of the Summit League, on Friday. The site, tip time and television designation should be revealed later tonight. With a win, the Buckeyes would advance to play the winner of a game between No. 7 seed Florida (14-9) and No. 10 seed Virginia Tech (15-6). That game would be played Sunday.
