WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The upset of the first round of the NCAA Tournament didn’t take long. No. 2 seed Ohio State fell to No. 15 seed Oral Roberts 75-72 in just the fifth game on Friday afternoon. This defeat comes after the Buckeyes, a 16-point favorite, made a run to the Big Ten Tournament championship game last weekend and appeared to have found their stride after a rough end to the regular season. Coming into the game, the Scarlet and Gray knew the Golden Eagles’ threat from three-point range but struggled to deal with it in the game.
