What Ohio State said after Buckeyes' first round NCAA Tournament loss to Oral Roberts

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The upset of the first round of the NCAA Tournament didn’t take long. No. 2 seed Ohio State fell to No. 15 seed Oral Roberts 75-72 in just the fifth game on Friday afternoon. This defeat comes after the Buckeyes, a 16-point favorite, made a run to the Big Ten Tournament championship game last weekend and appeared to have found their stride after a rough end to the regular season. Coming into the game, the Scarlet and Gray knew the Golden Eagles’ threat from three-point range but struggled to deal with it in the game. While Oral Roberts made just 31.4 percent for the game, the Golden Eagles connected on 41.2 percent from behind the arc in the first half, taking a three-point lead into the locker room.
