The Buckeyes offered a scholarship to Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna Prep class of 2022 cornerback Ryan Turner on Feb. 2. The offer came from secondary coach Matt Barnes. “I’m happy for him,” Turner said at the time regarding Barnes’ promotion. “That’s a huge step.” At the beginning of March Turner told Bucknuts things were progressing well with the Buckeyes and Ohio State defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs joined in recruiting Turner. “I’m hearing coach Barnes and coach Coombs like two to three times a week,” Turner told Bucknuts. “And I talk to coach Kee(nan Bailey) every two days.” Then a few days ago Turner told Bucknuts he would make an official visit to Ohio State and is working on a date for sometime in June.
