Ohio State football’s Dallas Gant and Teradja Mitchell can still build a legacy — and they have the blueprint


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s departing senior linebackers turned over more than their positions to the rising senior group at the end of 2020. They left behind a high standard of performance, and the void of their previous locker room presence. Yet they also handed down a step-by-step plan on how to achieve both — if the Buckeyes’ new senior linebackers are willing to accept it. “There’s been a blueprint set out know with those four guys that just left us,” Teradja Mitchell said. “I just kind of followed the blueprint; stepped into the role. … It’s just kind of come natural to me, because we’ve seen what it takes to lead the unit.” Mitchell expects to start at Will linebacker this fall, following in the immediate footsteps of Malik Harrison and Pete Werner.
