Indiana’s search for its next men’s basketball head coach is nearly two weeks old after firing Archie Miller on March 15. Many names have been thrown around, including a report last weekend that the program was focusing on former Ohio State head coach Thad Matta and New York Knicks assistant Mike Woodson. Fast forward to today, and Indiana also reportedly reached out to the current Ohio State head coach, Chris Holtmann. According to a report from Stadium’s Jeff Goodman, it doesn’t sound like he had much interest. The report was also confirmed by Bucknuts, 247sports’ Ohio State affiliate. “Indiana zeroed in on Ohio State’s Chris Holtmann earlier in the week, source told @stadium,” Goodman wrote in a tweet Friday afternoon. “Holtmann is happy in Columbus.” Coincidentally, Indiana hired Miller the same cycle Ohio State hired Holtmann.
