
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five-star defensive tackle Walter Nolen of St. Benedict High School in Tennessee has once again trimmed down his options to eight as Ohio State football continues to make the cut. The nation’s No. 2 recruit and top defensive player updated a list he released in February to now include the Buckeyes alongside Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Oregon and USC. The Bulldogs are new to the list while Auburn, Clemson and the home-state Volunteers have been eliminated. This will continue to be a long recruiting process for Nolen who hopes to visits schools this summer before committing anywhere. He’s yet to schedule any official visits. Adding him would give OSU the top two players in the 2022 recruiting class along with already committed five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers.
