Ohio State’s TreVeyon Henderson is already living up to 5-star status

Running back TreVeyon Henderson is already turning heads on the Ohio State football team. © Provided by Fansided Five-star running back TreVeyon Henderson becomes the third freshman on the Ohio State football team to have his black stripe removed from his helmet during spring practice. The black stripe tradition dates back to when Urban Meyer first came to Columbus. A freshman must wear a black stripe on the helmet until he has impressed the coaching staff enough for it to be removed. Henderson becomes the third Buckeyes freshman to have his black stripe removed, joining five-star defensive end Jack Sawyer and four-star wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Ohio State is expecting big things out of Henderson in the backfield right away in 2021.
