COLUMBUS, Ohio — The recruiting dead period is finally coming to an end, according to The Athletic’s Nicole Auerbach. The NCAA has reportedly voted to bring a dead period that has lasted 15 months to a close starting June 1. This means Ohio State — and all other programs — will once again be able to host recruits on campus. The Buckeyes were able to assemble the No. 2 class in the country during the 2021 cycle despite a handful of players never making a visit, such as running back TreVeyon Henderson. They’ve landed 11 commits in 2022 under the same restrictions. Now things will open back up with six months until Signing Day leaving plenty of time for OSU to build on the class in a relatively normal fashion.
