Former Ohio State basketball player Musa Jallow transfers to Charlotte


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Former Ohio State basketball player Musa Jallow announced on Tuesday that he will transfer to Charlotte. The former three-star recruit spent four seasons — playing three — with the Buckeyes, averaging 2.8 points while starting 28 of 94 games. He was rated as the No. 149 player and No. 35 small forward in the 2017 recruiting class. His departure leaves Kyle Young as the only remaining player from a class that ranked 24th in the country and first in the Big Ten. Jallow joins a 49ers team that went 9-16 (5-11 Conference USA) last season in its third year under head coach Ron Sanchez. A combination of a medical redshirt during the 2019-20 season and the NCAA granting student-athletes an extra year of eligibility means the Indiana native still has two seasons of college basketball left.
