If you ask someone what sports come to mind when they think of The Ohio State University, football, basketball and wrestling will come to mind immediately. But one that has been on a quiet rise recently has been baseball. In the past four seasons in which baseball has been played, the Buckeyes have qualified for the NCAA tournament in three of those seasons and won the Big Ten tournament twice. A lot of their success has been from recruiting in-state, and their 2023 class includes a local recruit in Andrew Jones from Brush. As a junior, Jones has committed to the Buckeyes.
