Ohio State’s Pete Werner is a name to know entering the 2021 NFL Draft’s first round this coming Thursday at 8 p.m. ET in Cleveland. According to Senior Bowl executive director and former NFL scout Jim Nagy, teams are eyeing up the former Buckeyes linebacker as a late-first-round pick. “Pete Werner, maybe the most underrated off-the-ball linebacker in this year’s class,” Nagy said Sunday morning on ESPN’s SportsCenter. “Extremely versatile, can cover, stay on the field all three downs. Talking to teams, there’s a lot of teams that have him in the late first round for someone in that 20-32 range.
