Clay Wedin views Ohio State football as blue-blood program: Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Not every high school football prospect has the glitz and glamour of multiple-star ratings and elite national rankings. Some players just keep their nose to the grindstone, without bright lights or cameras. Carrollwood Day (Tampa, Fla.) offensive lineman Clay Wedin (6-6, 295 pounds) is one of those blue-collar players in 2023. Currently, Wedin is considered a 3-star by 247Sports and the No. 13 guard in the class. Ohio State and 26 other FBS programs seem to think otherwise. About one month before the start of his sophomore season, the Buckeyes joined Georgia, Michigan, USC and a multitude of other teams in offering the No. 54 player in the Sunshine State.
