COLUMBUS, Ohio — IMG Academy’s defensive tackle Nick James is one of the 12 recruits offered by Ohio State in his position group. Saturday night, James announced that Ohio State made his cut list of just six programs. He shared via Twitter that LSU, Florida, Texas A&M, Oregon and South Carolina were also finalists. James’ top 12 had also included Alabama, USC, Wisconsin, Penn State, Arizona, UCF and Georgia. The four-star recruit is the nation’s No. 181-ranked player, No. 16 tackle and Florida’s No. 21 player. At 6-foot-2, 278 pounds, James totaled 30 tackles, an interception and a sack in six 2020-21 games.
