Samson Okunlola’s Ohio State offer proves his potential as 2023 offensive tackle: Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup


COLUMBUS, Ohio — It has been a spring to remember for Samson Okunlola, especially when it comes to Ohio State football. It’s been 17 months since Thayer Academy (Brockton, Mass.) and the 6-5, 295-pound Okunlola — a standout 4-star sophomore offensive lineman — have been able to put on the pads. But Okunlola has been anything but hidden to college coaches. Ohio State is one of 25 FBS programs which have offered Okunlola, who is considered the top 2023 prospect in Massachusetts. A big-time performance by Okunlola at the April 11 Ohio Under Armor camp in Obetz fueled what became a month of potential scholarships. He’s earned offers from Florida, Ole Miss, South Carolina, USC, Notre Dame, Michigan State and the Buckeyes.
