Efton Reid, Ohio State basketball 5-star center target, commits to LSU: Buckeyes Recruiting


COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State basketball’s final 2021 target Efton Reid has committed to LSU. The big man is rated as the No. 23 player and No. 3 center in the country. He chose the Tigers over 13 other schools, including the Buckeyes, Florida State, Pittsburgh and Virginia. His addition gives LSU a third top 100 commitment and third from a center alongside Jerrell Colbert, Bradley Ezewiro and shooting guard Brandon Murray. Losing out on Reid means that OSU’s 2021 class will officially be an all-Ohio class in Malaki Branham, Kalen Etzler and Meechie Johnson, who enrolled early and played this past season. Ohio State seemingly read the writing on the wall with Reid when his family announced that his decision date would be pushed back from its original April 15 date.
