
COLUMBUS, Ohio — With the addition of Chaminade-Madonna Prep (Hollywood, Fla.) 3-star cornerback Ryan Turner, Ohio State has three cornerback commits in its 2022 class. Turner accompanied Robert E. Lee (Jacksonville, Fla.) 5-star Jaheim Singletary and Lakota West (West Chester) 4-star Jyaire Brown in the cornerback room and also became secondary coach Matt Barnes’ first commitment since being promoted to the post on Feb. 3. It isn’t the first time the Buckeyes signed more than three cornerbacks in a class. In 2015 and 2017, the Buckeyes brought in five. Could it happen again in 2022? There is room for more, and plenty of opportunities for competition. From the 2019-21, OSU only landed three cornerbacks. That will start to be felt after this season; the Buckeyes will only have four corners on the roster heading into 2022.
