J.T. Barrett had his chance to return to the NFL last weekend. The former Ohio State quarterback got an audition with the Dallas Cowboys as an invitee to the team’s three-day rookie minicamp along with former Illinois State quarterback Brady Davis. Both players hoped to make 90-man training camp roster prior to that number being cut to 53 before the start of the season. Unfortunately for Barrett, the quarterback is once again looking for a new NFL home. According to multiple reports, neither Barrett nor Davis did enough to impress and remain with the team going forward. Clarence Hill Jr., the Cowboys beat writer for the Star-Telegram, reported that both quarterbacks struggled during the camp and that each battled issues with the wind at The Star, Dallas’ practice facility.
