
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State linebacker Teradja Mitchell already has his first Name, Image and Likeness project in the works. The rising senior on Thursday tweeted out a logo for Above the Realm Apparel, a project said to be “dropping this summer.” In thanking his supporters in advance, Mitchell said he is “just waiting on the NIL bill.” Unless someone in Congress or the NCAA acts soon, Mitchell may be forced to wait beyond the summer to start his venture. Meanwhile, football players at Alabama, Florida or Georgia will be free to start theirs. Those three states have NIL laws set to go into effect on July 1. So do Mississippi and New Mexico.
