Top Ohio 2023 prospect Griffith likes energy Ohio State showed this season

Ohio’s top prospect for the 2023 class was in Columbus over the weekend to compete at the All-Ohio Nike Super Sixteen tournament. That prospect was Cincinnati Taft sophomore guard Rayvon Griffith. The 6-5 Griffith is ranked as the nation’s No. 25 prospect overall, No. 3 shooting guard and No. 1 overall in Ohio for 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite. Griffith earned Division III Southwest District player of the year honors this season as he averaged 23.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, 5.5 assists, 2.3 steals and 1.6 blocks per game. He also shot 54 percent from the field, 46 percent on threes and 69 percent at the line. His Taft team ended the season 16-5 overall after a heartbreaking 47-45 loss to Worthington Christian in a Division III state semifinal game. Worthington Christian guard D.J.
