COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State had two representatives on the 2020 National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-West Region Team, which was announced on Monday, June 1. Mackenzie Allessie garnered first team honors with Leanne Bough was a second-team selection. The Buckeyes have now produced 69 All-Region selections in their 50-year history. Bough earns the honor for the first time in her career while Allessie is now a two-time All-Region choice. From Mount Joy, Pa., Allessie was the Big Ten’s Offensive Player of the Year in the spring of 2021 and led the conference in goals scored (15) and points (35). Twenty nine of her 35 points came over the final nine games of the season as she twice garnered Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week honors following weekend sweeps of Indiana and Michigan State.
