Setting the expectations: Ohio State's 2021 season

There is no such thing as a low expectation season for Ohio State’s football team. The Buckeyes have raised the bar this century, consistently sitting in the top 10 in the country and regularly in contention for both the Big Ten and national titles. Jim Tressel got the ball rolling when taking over the program in 2001, winning a national championship in just his second year and taking the Scarlet and Gray to two other title games. Urban Meyer continued the success when he took over in 2012, winning his first 24 games in charge at Ohio State. He too won a national title and reached another College Football Playoff. Current Buckeye head coach Ryan Day is yet to lose a regular season game in Columbus and is coming off back-to-back Playoff appearances.
