The Buckeyes made themselves a contender for one of the country’s top class of 2022 safety prospects in early May of 2020, May 3 to be exact, when they extended a scholarship offer to Las Vegas (Nev.) Bishop Gorman safety Zion Branch. Branch was one of a great group of prospects making official visits to Ohio State over the weekend of June 4 and went home very impressed. Since then the 247Sports Crystal Ball has registered four picks for Branch, all for the Buckeyes. There is also one pick for USC which came before Branch began making his official visits.
