Watch: Murphy on Mark Rogers TV breaking down Ohio State's 2021 defense

The 2020 college football season was strange for a number of reasons, but one of those was the Ohio State defense. Consistently over the years one of the best in the country, the Buckeyes were barely in the top 60 in total defense, allowing 401.6 yards per game. Against the best opposition — Indiana, Clemson and Alabama — that average jumped to over 518 yards conceded, including 621 to the Crimson Tide in the national title loss. Heading into the 2021 season, the Scarlet and Gray have made it a priority to fix the defense, something that ultimately let the team down on the biggest stage last year.
