COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFF CENTRAL — In college football’s playoff discussion, four teams are always there. Alabama, Clemson, Ohio State and Oklahoma have accounted for 20 of 28 spots in the seven-year history of the four-team playoff, with the Crimson Tide and Tigers making it six times and the Buckeyes and Sooners making it four times. Those four teams always have an eye on each other. Every other team needs an invitation to join that club. On The College Football Playoff Show, a new weekly podcast debuting today, we’ll delve into those two points about the playoff each week. We’ll constantly compare the contenders in every aspect of football — schedule, coaching, defense, receivers, quarterback play, etc. And we’ll determine which new team each week deserves an invite to that discussion.
