Several Ohio State players are being named to the various watch lists in college football for awards. The latest being cornerback Sevyn Banks being selected for the preseason watch list for the Thorpe Award, given annually to the best defensive back in college football. Other Buckeyes that have been named to watch lists thus far in 2021 are tight end Jeremy Ruckert, defensive linemen Haskell Garrett and Zach Harrison, wide receivers Chris Olave and Garrett Wilson, and offensive linemen Thayer Munford and Harry Miller.
