
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio State football’s 2022 recruiting class has lost a second member as tight end Benji Gosnell of East Surry High School in North Carolina has decommitted. The nation’s No. 320 player and No. 13 tight end committed to the Buckeyes in November. His decision was based on his relationship with offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson and watching Jeremy Ruckert’s development over the past three years combined with his production last season. But that wouldn’t be enough to get him to Signing Day. “This has been very hard,” Gosnell tweeted. “I’m thankful for the opportunity OSU has given me and the class they have shown throughout this tough decision.
