Ohio State will play Bowling Green in a non-conference football game in 2027, the Mid-American Conference school announced on Wednesday. The game, to be played at Ohio Stadium, is scheduled for Sept. 4. That likely will be the season-opener. Ohio State plays Alabama in Columbus two weeks later. Ohio State was scheduled to open its 2020 season against Bowling Green. That game, as well as all non-conference contests, was scrapped when COVID-19 caused the Big Ten to adopt an abbreviated conference-only schedule.
