Quinn Ewers, No. 1 QB in Class of 2022, to enroll early at Ohio State


The No. 1 recruit in the 2022 class, Quinn Ewers, will skip his senior year of high school to enroll early at Ohio State, he announced on Monday. In addition to getting acclimated to Columbus and the college football landscape, a big reason Ewers is enrolling early is due to the new NIL laws passed for NCAA athletes. Per Texas’ University Interscholastic League, Ewers would be unable to gain any sort of profit off of his name, image and likeness while a senior at Southlake Carroll. “This is not just a financial decision; this is about what is best for my football career,” Ewers said in a statement. “I feel it’s time to get the jump on my college career that is available to me.” Ewers originally committed to the Buckeyes in November after decommitting from Texas.
