
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Five-star quarterback Quinn Ewers is skipping his senior year of high school and becoming an Ohio State football player six months early. The 2022 recruiting class’ top player will join Kyle McCord, Jack Miller and C.J. Stroud as the fourth quarterback on the Buckeyes roster while reclassifying to the 2021 class. That gives the group seven five stars — including two quarterbacks — while eliminating a fourth member of the 2022 class. Ohio State starts fall camp on Tuesday, and Ewers is expected to join them in the next week. There is no expectation that he will end up as the starting quarterback for the season-opener against Minnesota, but his presence opens the door for him to get on the field at some point. One of Ryan Day’s main goals, when he was hired as the Buckeyes’ co-offensive coordinator in 2017, was to improve the quarterback recruiting.…
