In June the Buckeyes went to the state of Texas, a state they have had tremendous recruiting success in, to again land another top commitment for their 2022 recruiting class, defensive back Terrance Brooks from Little Elm, Texas. Brooks had a long list of scholarship offers that in addition to Ohio State included Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Florida, Texas A&M, Clemson, LSU, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, Penn State, Michigan, Auburn, Washington and many others. In addition to Ohio State, Brooks made official visits to Oregon, Florida, Texas and Alabama. The 5-foot-11 and 190-pound Brooks is a physical cornerback who has the athletic ability and skills to play anywhere in the secondary. In fact, the Buckeyes recruited him as a cornerback, but they also recruited him as someone who could play any position in their secondary. This week Brooks showed off his strength.
