Ryan Jacoby, Ohio State football lineman and former four-star prospect from Mentor, enters transfer portal


COLUMBUS, Ohio — As Ohio State football’s continues to sort out the top of its depth chart in preseason camp, it continues to experience attrition. Per multiple reports, redshirt sophomore Ryan Jacoby has entered the transfer portal. The former four-star, top-300 prospect from Mentor has not yet played for the Buckeyes. Jacoby became the second offensive lineman to enter the portal since last season, joining Max Wray, who transferred to Colorado. Ohio State coach Ryan Day said the presumptive starting offensive line has been jumbled at times in practice so far this offseason. Tackles have worked inside at guard in pursuit of finding the best possible starting five. However, Jacoby’s name has not yet come up in those public depth chart conversations.
