After Ohio State football loses two tight end battles, who are the top remaining 2023 options? Buckeyes Recruiting Roundup


COLUMBUS, Ohio — The Ohio State football team has not had much success recruiting tight ends lately. Tight ends coach Kevin Wilson has seen his room lose out on two 2023 four-stars in Luke Hasz (Oklahoma) and Mac Markway (Florida) in the past couple of weeks. The four classes from 2019-22 have only earned one commitment per cycle, as it stands, the latest being 2022 four-star Bennett Christian. There are currently nine tight ends on the 2021-22 roster after Gee Scott Jr.’s recent switch from wide receiver. Wilson hasn’t let up on his search in adding on to that, sending out five offers in the 2022 cycle and nine in 2023. Of Ohio State’s five 2022 targets, all but two– Oscar Delp and Benji Gosnell– have made commitments.
