
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Even Ohio State defensive coordinator Kerry Coombs, a cornerbacks coach who likes long cornerbacks, admits Ryan Watts pushes the limits. Watts, a redshirt freshman, is listed at 6-3 on the roster. No other Buckeye corner tops 6-1. You have to go back to 2013 to find an OSU roster with a corner listed at even 6-2, and that was walk-on Tyler McIntosh. Watts may stand out in a crowd, but he believes he also has deception on his side. Even some of his teammates underestimated how well he moves for his size. “I feel like I can move like the same 5-10 guy,” Watts said. “But it helps a lot.
