COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kyle McCord lost his black stripe on Thursday, but can he still win Ohio State football’s starting quarterback job? McCord’s black stripe was removed after the Buckeyes’ eighth practice of the preseason. He is the seventh freshman to go through that ceremony dating back to the early entrants in the spring. The timing is notable because Ohio State could be nearing a decision on who among McCord, C.J.
